Experience

Kemal Baran YILDIRIM is an experienced and qualified patent attorney with over 15 years of expertise in the intellectual property (IP) field, primarily focusing on patent prosecution matters. He successfully passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) in 2022, becoming a European Patent Attorney, and has been registered as a Turkish Patent Attorney since 2013. In 2025, he became one of the few Unified Patent Court (UPC) representatives in Türkiye.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanoengineering from Istanbul Technical University, where he actively contributed to academic research, particularly in the field of nanotechnology.

Mr. Yıldırım works across the broad sub-fields of mechanical engineering and has extensive experience in preparing patent applications, managing the entire process through to grant, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches, and handling patent invalidation proceedings.

He also works as a court expert in civil courts for intellectual and industrial property rights, especially in patent cases, and has submitted expert reports in nearly 100 cases so far.
