Ms. Nevin Öner joined our company in 2026, and in her work, she particularly focuses on litigation and legal consultancy regarding patents and other areas of intellectual property. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the AIPPI International Patent Committee, while also being an active member of the ECTA Patent Committee.
Experience
Graduated from Koç University Faculty of Law in 2010. Conducted research at Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" in 2011 and attended a program jointly organized by Oxford and Cambridge Universities in 2013, taking various law courses. In 2018, enrolled in the Master's Program in Intellectual Property and Competition Law—jointly organized by the Max Planck Institute, the world's leading institution in intellectual property, along with The George Washington University, Technical University of Munich, and the University of Augsburg—and graduated from this program in 2019 with a Master's thesis on the limitation of the scope of patent protection.
Has been practicing as an attorney-at-law registered with the Istanbul Bar Association since 2012, while also serving as a trademark and patent attorney. Started professional career in 2011 at a law firm specializing in industrial property rights and continues to work in this field. Has been actively involved in AIPPI Turkey (Intellectual Property Rights Protection Association) since 2015, serving notably as a moderator for its publication, Fikri Gündem, as well as taking roles in the Leadership Committee, the Working Group on Monitoring and Compiling Legislation and Jurisprudence, and the Working Group on Commercialization of Intellectual Property. Serves as Vice Chair of the AIPPI International Patent Committee and is an active member of the patent group of the ECTA committee.
While main practice and areas of expertise are Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights and Commercial Law, also takes an interest in criminal law and animal rights law, providing services in these areas on a pro bono basis. In addition to articles and writings on intellectual property published in various journals, participates as a speaker at national and international seminars in this field and provides training to raise intellectual property awareness among companies.
